The creative mind behind Youth Lagoon is 22 year old Trevor Powers. His debut album "The Year of Hibernation" was released this past year. Many of his songs start as melodic slow-builders with pianos & synthesizers that evolve into powerful choruses backed by electronic drumbeats. With vocals draped in hazy echoes the listener gets a feeling of recluse and anxiety which is also apparent in some of his lyrics.
